Sunday School
Sunday School classes at Christ Church, Georgetown meet from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings from mid-September through the end of May. Children aged three to five years old use a Montessori-based religious education program called Godly Play. Classes for children in first through fourth grades use the Living the Good News. Sunday School classes incorporate prayer, storytelling, discussions, and art projects to support your child’s faith development. Sunday School classes also regularly enjoy visits from a music teacher, clergy, and other guests. In conjunction with their education curriculum, children participate in special observances throughout the year, such as the All Saints' and Palm Sunday processions, Advent Angel making, and a Lenten mite box program. Most Sunday School classes are located in the Parish Hall building; the 2nd and 3rd grade classes are located on the second floor of the church building. Each Sunday, two volunteer Sunday School superintendents are available to welcome new children and families and to assist the Sunday School teachers as needed.
