At Christ Church there are a wide variety of worship services both on Sundays and during the week. Each Sunday there are four to five services depending on the time of year. The Holy Eucharist is the principle act of worship. It is also known as Holy Communion, The Lord’s Supper, or The Mass, depending on one’s tradition or past experience. It has been celebrated by Christians for 2000 years.

The Holy Eucharist is the holy meal of bread and wine that unites us with the risen Christ. The word "Eucharist" means thanksgiving. In this shared meal we give thanks to God for everything, but most especially for the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In that act of remembering and offering thanks within this sacred meal, Christ is present to us as he promised. That is why it is also called a holy communion.

From Monday through Friday of each week we gather for prayers in the Chapel. This follows an ancient tradition that finds its roots in Judaism and followed through Christianity from the beginning and has continued without ceasing. Monday through Friday there are three brief prayer services each day. They are called Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer, and Evening Prayer.

As you can see, prayer and worship really are at the heart of the life of this parish community. Everything we do both in this church and in all the lives that come and go from this place, begins and ends in this wonderful and sacred activity.
