Thrift Shop

The Christ Church Thrift Shop is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.  The shop is located on the lower level of the Parish Hall - entry is made via outside steps. 

Over many years, the small community of Thrift Shop volunteers has been able to make grants of over $300,000 to a variety of organizations, including: Meals on Wheels, Iona Senior Services, My Sister's Place, House of Ruth, Washington Literacy Council, Send a Kid to Camp, The Bishop Walker School, St. John's Eye Hospital, Joseph's House, Developing Family Center, Aged Women's Home, and Washington Middle School for Girls.

Donations:

  • All items must be clean!
  • Clothing must be in season, on hangers or in boxes (not plastic bags, please).
  • Accessories such as handbags, shoes, lingerie, costume jewelry, scarves and hostess gifts all welcome.
  • Books - best sellers only!
  • Household items can include dinnerware, flatware, glassware, cookware, bakeware and small appliances.
  • Due to limited space, we cannot accept large suitcases, computers, printers, TVs, or other electronic equipment.
  • Please call the Parish Office at 202-333-6677 before donating from an estate.

Donations may be delivered to the Parish Office, Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or directly to the shop on the lower level of the Parish Hall on any Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Donations are tax deductible.
