Music
The primary goal of the music program at Christ Church is the support and enhancement of worship. Michael Lindstrom, Organist and Choirmaster of the parish, conducts the Choir of Christ Church and plays for all services.
The Choir of Christ Church is comprised of some of the finest professional singers in the Washington area. Throughout the year, this group of twelve presents a broad array of very fine choral literature which spans seven centuries, and which draws upon the best of our Anglican heritage.
The Choir sings at the 11:15 a.m. service each Sunday, as well as at all special liturgies throughout the year. Additionally, the choir sings the traditional service of Choral Evensong at 5 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of each month from October through May. A quartet from the Choir sings at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday service, with additional singers added occasionally as required by the literature.
