Christ Church’s Spiritual Life Ministry offers parishioners the opportunity to cultivate their capacity for prayer through the ancient discipline of Lectio Divina – meditation on scripture in which practitioners allow their hearts to be transformed by and through the living Word of God.
This fall (2023), participants will examine their God-given identity as loved, sought-after, and blessed; how they fit into and live within God’s kingdom; and, finally, how everyday life might just be the perfect training ground for transformation into Christ’s likeness.
Sessions take place on the first and third Sundays of each month (just before Choral Evensong), from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., in the Memorial Room. All are welcome! For more information, contact parishioner Kelly Storrs.
For anyone seeking a deeper life with God, join us for a weekend spiritual retreat in Lent. Led by guest speaker Trevor Hudson, a retired minister, seasoned spiritual director, and internationally-known author from South Africa, this three-day retreat will provide space, guidance, and atmosphere for you to connect with God, both individually and in the intimacy of a small community from our parish.
Each day will include daily offices, contemplative talks, individual guided prayer, and small group sharing. The retreat will take place from March 1-3. Room and board are included in the cost.
