Parish Life

Christ Church, Georgetown, is a large, active community of faith and, although parishioners come from a wide variety of backgrounds and geographical locations, the congregation is knit together tightly in one Body and one Spirit.

The common life of Christ Church - our Parish Life - includes countless opportunities for worship and formation, service and fellowship:

  • Support of the parish’s liturgical life through ministry as an usher, acolyte, lector, or member of the Altar Guild or Flower Committee.
  • Study, discussion, and reflection within the context of the Sunday Forum or a smaller parish group.
  • Service as a teacher or participation as a student within the Sunday School.
  • Preparation and delivery of meals for homeless individuals on the streets of Washington or fundraising for a project overseas.
  • Gathering for a simple evening meal or a cup of coffee after worship.

No matter who you are or where you are on the journey of faith,

we invite you to explore this parish community -

the body of Christ at the corner of 31st and O.
