Education

Because Christian formation is a life-long process, Christ Church, Georgetown, is firmly committed to providing a wide array of opportunities for theological learning and spiritual development to individuals of all ages. Indeed, Christian education has been and continues to be a central focus of the parish for as we learn, we grow in fellowship with God, with one another, and in our sense of belonging to the community of faith.

No matter where you find yourself on the spiritual journey, we invite you to explore all that Christ Church has to offer: opportunities for learning and study, discussion and reflection. Some programs, such as Sunday School and the Sunday Adult Forum, take place on a weekly basis during the academic year. Others, such as the Sunday morning Coffee & Colloquy, take place periodically. Seasonal opportunities have included an intergenerational Tuesday evening Lenten program and a summer adult education series.

For additional information about education and formation opportunities for adults, contact the Reverend Elizabeth Keeler, Assistant to the Rector. For additional information about opportunities for children, youth, and families, including nursery care and Sunday School, contact Rita Yoe, Youth Missioner.
